MLK Lecture & Community Forum
The Center for Strong Communities presents a community forum on Latino Civil Rights, Thursday, January 14 at 6:00 pm. The program will be held at Maryville College Alumni Gym as part of the 2010 Blount County Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Celebration week.
Topic: Latino Civil Rights, Obstacles and Opportunities for New Neighbors in the South
Featured speaker: Renata Soto, founder/director of Conexion Americas in Nashville, and board member of the National Council of La Raza, the largest Latino civil rights organization in the county.
